TASB’s Grassroots Meetings begin the formation of the Advocacy Agenda Priorities, which will guide the Association’s work during the 89th Legislative Session. During each regional Grassroots Meeting, trustees will determine the legislative issues of greatest importance to their boards and communities and elect members to the Legislative Advisory Council (LAC). The LAC is charged with reviewing the regional priorities and developing a slate of priorities that represent school boards statewide.

You must attend in person to be elected as a LAC representative for your region and to be eligible for a special drawing. At each regional meeting, attendees will be entered into a drawing for a $1,000 student scholarship.
