Benny May
Region 4C

Benny May currently serves on the Barbers Hill Independent School Board and joined the TASB Board in January 2009. He has been a member of his local board since 1996 and has served as president, vice-president, and secretary.
A graduate of McNeese State University, May earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business. He has been a supervisor for Exxon Mobil for 21 years. May is actively involved in volunteering his time with children. He is a Life Skill class mentor at the elementary school two days a week, assists children with 4-H and FFA projects, and attends as many school activities as possible. He has served as a member of the Houston Livestock Show Committee, volunteer coordinator for the BH Gulf Coast Classic girls and boys basketball tournament, and a member of the Leadership Team for Mont Belvieu Assembly of God Church. Helping children be successful in whatever it is that they are doing is what keeps him motivated. May and his wife, Lori, have two children, Myles (17) and Makenzi (14), who also are very involved in extracurricular activities.
