How long will a search take?
Ideally, a search takes no more than three to four months from the day the search is opened until hiring. This gives ample time to identify the qualifications and characteristics, advertise the position, and conduct interviews. (Learn more about the process.)

What if our organization gets to the end of a search and is not convinced it has found the right person?
Executive Search Services (ESS) will provide assistance until the organization is pleased with the final candidate.

How are the criteria for selecting the best candidate developed?
The consultant works with the hiring official or designated contact to develop the "Q and C's". This process may include input from several staff members or it may involve selected community members, business representatives, parents, and/or staff. The final choice regarding involvement is an organization option.
