Using the Data
The District Personnel Salary Survey data is a valuable budgeting and compensation planning tool for school districts. Using the "Salary and FTE Reports," districts can benchmark teacher and other school personnel salaries against those from comparable districts. This allows for a clear understanding of competitive salary rates and helps to identify areas where salary adjustments may be needed to attract and retain quality staff.
The survey data also enables districts to make more accurate financial projections for personnel costs. Decision-makers can assess their current salary structures, forecast future budget needs, and allocate funds accordingly. Additionally, the reports can support strategic staffing decisions, including evaluating the financial impact of hiring, pay raises, and benefits for various personnel groups.
Other Surveys from TASB HR Services
Data from the Community College Salary Survey was posted to TASB HRDataSource on December 5th. The Extra-Duty Stipend Survey deadline has been extended to December 20th, and HR Services data analysts will send data verification questions to the survey respondents in January.
The HR Surveys will open in January with data available in March. The surveys cover benefits, leaves, contracts, HR department, teachers, substitutes, hiring, vacancies, and strategic staffing.
As additional survey data becomes available, including data on benefits, HR policies, and extra-duty stipends, school districts can further refine their budgeting and financial strategies to ensure they remain competitive and sustainable.
