First Public Launches New Websites to Better Serve Clients

Austin— First Public, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), announced a trio of new websites to showcase its services and solutions for school districts, local governments, and public entities as part of its ongoing commitment to meet the needs of clients.

“We’re very excited about launching our new websites that feature a more modern design, improved navigation, and easier access to essential information for both current and prospective clients,” said Bill Mastrodicasa, managing director of First Public. “The websites are a big step forward in ensuring we’re providing a one-stop experience that is more intuitive, comprehensive, and reflects our pledge to put our customers first.”

First Public administers both the Lone Star Investment Pool and TASB Benefits Cooperative, which offer investment and benefits management services to school districts, municipalities, higher education, and other local governments across Texas. The new websites are mobile-friendly and include distinct experiences for each line of service, replacing the old, single First Public site.

Visitors can explore each site at the following URLs:

While the websites all look different with more engaging visuals, concise information, and intuitive navigation, visitors will notice that the location of key services and functions, such as the Lone Star Investment Pool account login, align to the old website.

“We want to make it easy for people to find essential resources, so we were careful to retain elements in the navigation that would be familiar to First Public’s current clients,” said Tiffany Dunne-Oldfield, TASB associate executive director of Communications and Marketing. “Essentially, we have modernized and improved all three sites while respecting the long history and traditions of First Public.”

“What isn’t changing is First Public’s focus on excellent customer service and value for participants and members,” Mastrodicasa said. Depending on the site, visitors will find:

  • Resources for continuing education, training modules, and articles on public funds investing, employee benefits, and more
  • Quick access to a variety of documents, and legal and policy resources
  • Online tools relevant to public funds investing and employee benefits
  • An easy way to stay in touch, including the option to ‘Contact Us’ on every page

“We are thrilled to have worked with First Public on developing and designing these new websites because we know how valuable their services are to public entities across the state,” said TASB Executive Director Dan Troxell. “Our investment in these sites reflects the importance of giving our members the best customer experience possible so they’re able to focus on their work, whether it’s educating students or meeting the needs of residents and taxpayers.”

The websites will be updated regularly with essential information, updates on products and services, important regulatory or compliance updates, and opportunities for training and learning where applicable. Visitors are encouraged to check back often. Any questions about the website design or content should be directed to customer.service@firstpublic.com.
