Schulte Elected to State Association Board
Austin— The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors has elected Greg Schulte of Katy ISD to an interim position on the TASB Board, representing TASB Region 4, Position E.
Schulte is president of the Katy ISD Board of Trustees. He was elected to the board in 2020 and has been an active volunteer in the district, including serving as chair of the scholarship committees for the Seven Lakes High School Theatre and Choir.
He graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla with a degree in civil engineering. He spent the first 10 years of his career at a major oil company where he worked as a senior project manager of large U.S. and international projects. In 2000, he joined a private engineering consulting firm as a senior project manager. He has moved into leadership roles with the firm, becoming a managing principal in 2006 and being elected by the shareholders to the board of directors in 2014.
He also founded and served as chair for the Love for Luanda campaign, an annual effort to support orphanages in West Africa.
