Westbrook Reelected to State Association Board
Austin— Robert Westbrook of Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD has been reelected to a three-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 20, Position D. The election was held during the Association’s 2022 Delegate Assembly on Sept. 24 in San Antonio.
Westbrook was elected to the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD Board in 2011. He has held several leadership positions, including assistant secretary, secretary, vice-president, and, most recently, president. In addition, he is a 2013 Leadership TASB graduate and a Master Trustee.
Currently, Westbrook is a fire chief with the San Antonio Fire Department. He holds numerous certifications, including paramedic, fire science instructor, hazardous materials technician, and wild-land firefighter. He has completed the City of San Antonio Leadership Development Program. He also serves on the Lone Star Investment Pool Board.
He is a graduate of Churchill High School, the United States Military Academy Preparatory School, and Texas State University. Westbrook earned a Master of Business Administration from Webster University. He is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and the Urban Management Assistants of South Texas.
