Update: State Work-Site Poster
The TASB HR Services state work-site poster was recently updated to include the required reporting workplace violence notice required by Texas Labor Code Chapter 104A.
The new notice provides employees with information for reporting instances of workplace violence or suspicious activity by contacting the Department of Public Safety (DPS) through iWatchTexas Community Reporting System. Reports can be made anonymously online or by phone.
Employer Compliance
All employers, including community colleges, school districts, and Education Service Centers (ESCs), are required to post the reporting workplace violence notice. The requirement was enacted by the 88th Regular Session of the Texas Legislature (House Bill 915). The notice must be posted in English and Spanish in a conspicuous place in the employer’s place of business convenient to all employees.
TASB State Work-Site Poster
Prescribed text of the notice is included on the February update of the TASB State Work-Site Poster, which is available in the TASB Store. Employers may also choose to download the generic notice and post the notice next to their existing poster.
More information about work-site posting requirements is available in Work-Site Posting Requirements for Districts and Work-Site Posting Requirements for Colleges in the HR Services Resource Library (member login required).
