Meet Our Team
Matt Alexander
Regions 8, 10, and 11 Representative
Matt Alexander is a compliance specialist with Facility Services. He joined TASB in 2020.
Alexander served in the U.S. Air Force before earning his Bachelor of Applied Science in forest resource management at Green River College. He has a background in water quality/soil sampling and assessment, as well as natural resources, meteorology, and contract management.

Scott Beene
Scott Beene is a facility consultant with Facility Services. He has been with TASB since October 2023.
Beene has a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University in agriculture science with a specialization in agriculture mechanics, as well a master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He has taught agriculture science, was an elementary principal, and is a recently retired superintendent after 17 years in that position and 29 total years as an educator.

Jason Buster
Regions 12 Representative
Jason Buster is a facility specialist with Facility Services. He has been with TASB since 2007.
Buster attended Texas State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in resource and environmental management. He has a background in environmental compliance and environmental issues.

Jeff Clemmons
Jeff Clemmons is the division director of Facility Services. He has been with TASB since 1998.
Clemmons attended The University of Texas where he earned his Bachelor of Science in biology. He has a background in environmental compliance, facilities, procurement, construction, and energy and brings a breadth of organizational knowledge, business and service development acumen, critical thinking, and creative innovation to his role.

Tiffany Hammond
Tiffany Hammond is the membership services manager for Facility Services. She has been with TASB since 2009.
Hammond earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from The University of Texas at Austin. She has experience in environmental regulatory compliance reviews and training, asbestos management, indoor air quality assessments, and integrated pest management.

Louis Magee
Regions 13 and 12 Representative
Louis Magee is a facility specialist with Facility Services. He has been with TASB since 2010.
Magee is a licensed asbestos management planner and mold assessment consultant. He offers his expertise in federal and state regulation compliance, air quality investigations, asbestos surveys, inspections, and compiling asbestos management plans. He regularly presents training classes and strives to ensure members and clients receive quality customer service and products.
Magee is a graduate of Texas State University with a major in geography and an emphasis in environmental resources.

Gary Marek
Gary B. Marek, REFP, RAS, is a facility consultant with Facility Services. He has been with TASB since 2012.
Prior to joining TASB, Marek had a 29-year career in state government, including 14 years with the Texas Education Agency. Marek has a passion for serving public school districts and ensuring that educational environments are safe, healthy, accessible, and educationally adequate.
Marek attended The University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering. He later attended Texas State University in San Marcos, earning a Master of Business Administration.

Amber Meinardus
Amber Meinardus is a facility consultant with Facility Services. She has been with TASB since 2014.
Meinardus attended Southwestern University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology. She has a background in environmental studies and spent time in Senegal researching sustainable fishing methods used by communities.

Christopher Morales
Regions 1, 2, and 3 Representative.
Christopher Morales is a compliance specialist with Facility Services. He has been with TASB since 2020.
Morales attended South Texas College where he received his associate degree in kinesiology. He is currently enrolled in The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley part-time and working on his bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a focus on physical therapy.

Bob Placek
Regions 9, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 Representative
Bob Placek is a facility specialist with Facility Services. He has been with TASB since 2016.
Placek has a background in asbestos management and has developed a broad breadth of knowledge in this and other environmental issues pertaining to school districts.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in geology from Texas Tech University.

James Reese
James Reese is a regional manager with Facility Services. He has been with TASB since 2014.
Reese attended Oregon State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in natural resources. He has a background in school district facilities ranging from assessments to long-range facility planning and environmental concerns.

Grady Slaydon
Grady Slaydon is a regional manager for Facility Services. He works to ensure the effectiveness of facility consultants, implements training, and performs educational facility assessments.
Prior to joining TASB in 2015, Slaydon worked for 24 years for the Bryan Independent School District where he was a teacher/coach, campus assistant principal, and the Director of Maintenance and Operations for the last 10 years. He oversaw maintenance, custodial, grounds, construction, energy management, and emergency management. He was involved in over $150M in construction, developed and implemented the district EOP, and supervised departments employing over 250 employees. He has comprehensive knowledge of building construction and operations under changing conditions.

Erica Stevens

Erica Stevens is a compliance specialist with Facility Services and has been with TASB since 2020.
Stevens attended Lamar Institute of Technology where she earned her Associate of Applied Science in occupational safety and health. She has a background in industrial safety.
