2024-2025 HR Services Workshops
The TASB HR Services 2024-2025 workshop schedule is available now.
The topics selected for the year will cover a wide variety of HR-related topics. These sessions are virtual, and each will be conducted over two half-days.
The statewide workshops scheduled include:
- HR for Campus Leaders, Oct. 2-3
- Navigating Educator Certification, Oct. 16-17
- Service Record Management, Nov. 13-14
- Spending Wisely: The Intersection of Staffing and Pay, Dec. 3-4
- Recruiting and Retaining School Employees, Feb. 5-6, 2025
- Understanding Compensation in Schools, Feb. 26-27, 2025
- Administering Pay Plans, Mar. 26-27, 2025
- Managing Personnel Records, Apr. 23-24, 2025
- Managing State and Federal Leave, Jun. 4-5, 2025
- Get a Grip on the FMLA, Jun 25-26, 2025
HR Academy, Nov. 4-5, and Advanced HR Seminar, Nov. 18-19, are also open for registration. These events no longer run concurrently to give HR staff the opportunity to attend both conferences.

Sarah James
Sarah James joined HR Services in 2019. Prior to that, she worked at a Central Texas school district for 11 years. She is responsible for managing web content, HR Services articles, HRX newsletter, social media accounts, and marketing efforts.
James has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Concordia University Texas in Austin.
