College Job Descriptions Now Available in the HR Library
TASB HR Services is pleased to announce its newest resource for colleges—model job descriptions.
The new community college job descriptions are available to members of HR Services and can be downloaded from our TASB resources page (login required).
A total of 85 model job descriptions grouped into three categories—Academics & Student Services, Administration, and Operations are available. Various job levels are included within each category and can be edited to reflect the unique roles specific to the college. Sample job descriptions by category include:
Academics & Student Services:
- Dean
- Director
- Advisor
Administration:
- President/Chancellor
- Vice President
- Director
- Accountant
- Executive Assistant
- Administrative Assistant
Operations:
- Director
- Supervisor
- Police Officer
- Journeyman license trades
TASB HR Services plans to develop and add more college job descriptions soon. Other valuable college resources available to members include the College Model Employee Handbook (member login required) and TASB HRDataSource™ survey data and reports (e.g., Community College Faculty Pay, and Other College Benchmark Jobs).
Luz Cadena
Luz Cadena has been an HR and compensation consultant with HR Services since 2006. Before TASB, she worked for a Central Texas ISD for eight years in the positions of compensation analyst, compensation coordinator, and director of compensation.
Cadena earned an associate degree in business administration from New Mexico State University, holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Concordia University in Austin, and is a certified compensation professional (CCP).
