FML for Birth and Bonding

As summer approaches, human resources departments in educational entities often have questions regarding family and medical leave for spring and summer births.

Questions often range from family and medical leave (FML) eligibility, whether parents may take leave to bond with a child at the beginning of the school year, and whether an employee can take FML for recovery and bonding in more than one FML year.

HR Services provides those answers and more in the HR Services Resource Library FAQs — Family and Medical Leave for Birth or Placement of a Child (member login required). Information can also be found in the HRX article FML for Spring and Summer Births.
