Harassment Prevention and Respectful Workplaces Training

Five animated businesspeople, with two shaking hands

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) provides guidance and resources to employers working toward reducing harassment and making workplaces respectful.

The organization recently launched a new training on harassment prevention and fostering respectful work environments. The first training, Respect in the Workplace, is available for all employees, while Leading for Respect targets supervisors.

The training goes beyond traditional harassment prevention training to focus on respect, acceptable workplace conduct, and the types of behaviors that contribute to a respectful and inclusive organizational culture. Where other traditional trainings focus on what not to do, the EEOC’s courses emphasize what employees should do.

The fee-based trainings are on-site, interactive, and skills-based. To schedule a workshop, districts can contact their area Outreach and Education Coordinator.
