Human resources professionals should be prepared to address poor employee performance and specific behavior issues in order to resolve them in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.

Implementing proactive practices such as sharing monthly reminders of your organization’s expectations for conduct and performance, training supervisors to intervene and resolve employee discipline issues at the lowest level possible, and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure consistent application can improve employee performance and reduce discipline issues.
