USCIS Updates I-9 Form

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced minor updates to Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.

The revised Form I-9 has an edition date of 01/20/25 and an expiration date of 05/31/2027. The edits include:

• Renaming of the fourth checkbox in Section 1
• Revising the descriptions of two List B documents
• Adding appropriate statutory language and a revised DHS Privacy Notice to the instructions

Employers may begin using the new form immediately or continue using any valid edition until the expiration date listed on the form.
