Legal Services Telephone Consultation Service

Questions about legal issues in your district? TASB members have access to TASB’s Legal Line for guidance on a wide range of school law topics.

TASB Legal Services provides phone consultations with TASB attorneys to help you address a wide range of school law-related issues that impact your district.

This service is offered to school districts with an Active TASB Membership. Phone consultation is available to school district decision-makers, including each trustee and the superintendent.

TASB Legal Services also provides phone consultation to representatives of TASB’s other Active and Associate Members: ESCs, educational cooperatives, and county appraisal districts.

Contacting TASB Legal Services is easy. Simply call our toll-free number, 800-580-5345, and leave your information with our administrative staff. Be sure to leave your name, position in the district, your phone number, and the reason you are calling. One of our attorneys will return your call in the order in which it was received. 

Calls are answered between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. most business days. Calls initiated after 4:30 p.m. may be returned the following business day.

Membership Information

TASB Active Membership

Active Members consist of the boards of Texas public school districts and education service centers. They have voting privileges in the Association and may participate in all of TASB's services.

TASB Associate Membership

Associate Members consist of shared service arrangements, community colleges, and central appraisal districts.
