2025 TASA | TASB Legislative Conference

TASA and TASB will host a Legislative Conference to provide school board members and administrators with an update on legislative happenings and a chance to hear about important education legislation from political insiders. TASA and TASB Governmental Relations staff will provide updates on important bills and issues.

Registration fee: This event is free for TASA and TASB active members who are school district administrators or trustees. Please note, no continuing education credit will be provided for this event.*

*On Nov. 22, 2024, the Texas State Board of Education adopted changes to school board member training rules that prohibit individuals from awarding continuing education credit for sessions that include political advocacy. Because the definition of political advocacy included in the new rules may encompass discussions about legislative bills, education policy being considered by the legislature, or rulemaking by state agencies, TASB will not be offering training credit for this session. TASB will continue to offer trainings for credit on updates to the Texas Education Code following a legislative session. TASB will also continue to provide sessions on advocacy and legislative updates, but may not offer credit depending on the topics to be covered.
