Child Abuse Prevention: What Board Members Need to Know

This session fulfills the requirement of HB 403 that school board members receive training in identifying and reporting potential victims of sexual abuse, sex trafficking and other maltreatment of children. The information presented here will assist board members in their dual roles of governance and oversight. Trustees will be equipped to ensure that they have appropriate policies, procedures and practices in place in their districts to protect staff and students in these areas.
