2024-2025 HR Survey Data Available Now
Data from the 2024-2025 TASB HR Survey is now available in TASB HRDataSource™.
Survey responses were collected from 403 participating districts. This year’s participation was down from last year which saw 520 completed surveys due to the introduction of the Vacancies & Strategic Staffing section. This year’s participation reflects a return to the average number of responses.
The HR Survey reports cover the following topics:
- HR Department (staff, HR responsibilities, HRIS)
- Contracts (superintendent, teacher, and administrator/professional)
- Teacher & Substitute Practices (professional development, dual credit, CTE, supplemental/summer, substitutes, game workers)
- Benefits & Leaves (health insurance, supplemental benefits, leaves)
- Vacancies & Strategic Staffing (teacher and non-teacher vacancies, hiring, scheduling, retention)
To view the HR Survey data, log into HRDataSource, select HR Reports, then choose the topic and district criteria for your report. The report will display in your browser and can be downloaded in PDF or Excel format.

Kyla Brandenberg
Kyla Brandenberg joined the HR Services team in 2024. Before joining TASB, she worked in public education as a middle school teacher. She assists with the analysis of salary and employee survey data and provides analytical support for consulting services.
Brandenberg attended Iowa State University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in education.
